Salary: £26,000 - £31,659 per annumHours: 36 per week Contract Type: PermanentAre you passionate about leading a team that supports people with Learning Disabilities If so, this could be the perfect role for you!Our Kent Learning Disabilities Service is currently looking for a Team Leader to join our friendly dynamic team in Tonbridge.We provide a 24/7 service, youll therefore need to be available to work evenings and weekends when required.Who we areWe provide supported accommodation and community support services to vulnerable people in Kent, Surrey and Sussex. We support survivors of domestic abuse, homeless individuals and families, young people, ex-offenders, refugees, people with a learning disability,those experiencing mental health problems and Syrian refugees that come to this country under a Government led initiative for resettlement across Kent.We provide supported accommodation and community support services to vulnerable people in Kent, Surrey and Sussex. We support survivors of domestic abuse, homeless individuals and families, young people, ex-offenders, refugees, people with a learning disability,those experiencing mental health problems and Syrian refugees who come to this country under a government-led initiative for resettlement across Kent.What youll be doingYoull work with and support the Project Manager to deliver accommodation-based and community support services of exceptional quality. Well look to you to inspire, motivate and support a team of Support Workers, having day-to-day responsibility for supervisingstaff; including 1-2-1 support; Financial and Health and Safety Auditing of the scheme; managing the staff rota and monitoring performance.Youll also be tasked with assessing and managing risk effectively and reporting concerns to the Project Manager, as well as ensuring that we provide a healthy and safe environment for both customers and staff.What youll need

  • A calm, efficient and structured approach to your work
  • A thorough understanding of the needs of vulnerable people, risk assessment, risk management and best practice
  • A good understanding of how to support and motivate a team
  • An excellent knowledge of Safeguarding
