Hygiene Operatives Location: Tollcross, GlasgowSalary: £8.21 per hourContract: Permanent, Full Time (average 42 hours per week)Shifts: 12-hour day shifts following the Pitman Shift Pattern (07.00 - 19.00 hours)Hygiene Group Ltd. has a great opportunity for individuals with a keen eye for detail to become part of an experienced, dedicated and friendly team of Hygiene Operatives in Tollcross, Glasgow.Hygiene Operatives - The Role:The Hygiene Operative role is to carry out a variety of cleaning duties for a well-established and renowned food manufacturer producing a range of supermarket and branded biscuits in Tollcross, Glasgow. Our scope of work across the site includes production areas and food production equipment, floors and drains, hand-wash stations, high levels, silo blocks and perimeter areas.Reporting to the Hygiene Shift Supervisor you will form part of one of two main hygiene teams operating on a rotating shift pattern with varied working days averaging 42 hours per week.Each team consists of 15 Hygiene Operatives with key responsibilities to:

Perform a variety of cleaning and hygiene tasks as detailed within the cleaning instruction procedures.

Ensure all activities are carried out and signed-off in accordance with hygiene, quality and safety standards.

Be responsible for ensuring that waste material is correctly disposed of in accordance with the client’s environmental systems.

Be responsible for alerting the Hygiene Shift Supervisor to any issues that may impact upon the integrity of the clean.

Participate in mandatory site training relating to health & safety, hygiene and environmental issues.

Hygiene Operatives - The Requirements:Along with a high standard of work ethics you will also require:

Good written and verbal communication in the English language

The ability to work to time constraints both on your own initiative and as a part of a team

The ability to follow procedures thoroughly

A positive and approachable manner

An enthusiasm for a varied working environment
