Job Description

Health & Safety AdvisorBickerton, North Yorkshire£25,000 - £30,000AboutAn opportunity to work with a highly reputable multi-disciplined manufacturing company working within the creative industries. This company work with high profile clients such as Google, The BBC, Amazon, Netflix, and governments, producing products fromOlympic Cauldrons to TV sets, or giant artworks and jaw-dropping structures. Their work can be seen around the world and falls into the theatre, TV set, ceremonies, art installations, architectural pavilions, and large-scale event categories. They pride themselveson being dedicated, hard-working, and innovative whilst providing excellent customer service for their clients and their complex designs.Information on the role

  • Support all Directors, Managers, and Supervisors regarding their Health & Safety responsibilities and those of their teams
  • Report to the Health & Safety Manager
  • Work closely with the production team
  • Manage internal and external plant checks/inspections
  • Support all departments and external parties in relation to Health & Safety, and the welfare of employees
  • Liaise closely with third party contracted services/consultants and manage any resulting actions
  • Identify and manage Health & Safety risks with a solution focused approach
  • Be responsible for keeping accurate records and report information to the Health & Safety Manager and H&S Committee to support decision making
  • Maintain and manage a system of review for controlled EHS documentation
  • Input, track, and oversee all departmental transactions through company PO system
What wed like from you
  • Understand the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 and other relevant legislation
  • Previous experience in a Health & Safety role in a manufacturing or construction business
  • Positive work attitude with a willingness to undertake training as appropriate
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft products
  • Excellent organisational & teamwork skills
  • Professional approach and appreciation of confidentiality
