Job Description

Systems Developer£35,000 - £40,000Location: TiptonWe are thrilled to present an exceptional opportunity for a talented Systems Developer to join a well-established family run Midlands-based company focusing on exports. This role offers the chance to contribute to the companys ongoing digital transformationand be part of their exciting growth journey.As a Systems Developer, you will report directly to the IT Manager and take on the responsibility of driving growth and implementing digital solutions across various departments within the organization. Your expertise will be vital in identifying, implementing,and maintaining digital technologies to optimize efficiency and support the companys digital transformation efforts.Initially, you will work onsite for five days a week, with the possibility of transitioning into a hybrid role in the future. Discussions regarding this transition are already underway, showcasing the companys openness to flexibility. Joining a small team,you can expect training opportunities to further enhance your skills as needed.This is an outstanding opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking company and actively contribute to their digital transformation journey. If you are ready to take on this exciting challenge. Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and evaluate existing processes, identifying areas for improvement and change.
  • Redesign and optimize business processes using suitable digital technologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Drive system development, implementing process changes to meet the evolving needs of the business.
  • Manage the impact of process changes and effectively communicate with stakeholders throughout the change process.
  • Design and implement user-friendly system enhancements, striking a balance between system requirements and stakeholder needs for seamless adaptation.
  • Generate reports, dashboards, and data snapshots on demand, utilizing your data manipulation and interpretation skills.
  • Facilitate cross-departmental IT projects, managing user groups expectations and ensuring their needs are met.
  • Provide ongoing support and maintenance for existing bespoke IT systems.
The Ideal Candidate:
  • Proficient in Visual Basic for Applications, SQL, and Python (Pandas, Plotly, TkInter). Open to tranferable skills too.
  • Strong knowledge of MS 365 Packages.
  • Demonstrates excellent prioritization and workload management abilities.
  • Possesses exceptional problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Exhibits effective communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
