Job Description

Our Client Adler Pelzer is a worldwide leader in the design, engineering and manufacturing of acoustic and thermal components and systems for the Automotive sector. They are currently recruiting for a Quality Engineer working at their site in Tipton, West Midlands.Purpose of the RoleTo deal with customer and supplier issues, generating documentation for sample submission to customers, and document all problem-solving activities. Generate internal operator instructions for all processes, and documentation to comply with quality systemrequirements.Key Responsibilities

  • To liaise with customers on a regular basis making site visits as and when required.
  • Implementation of automotive quality standards
  • Co-ordinate QC/QA activities, inspections, measurement, capability analysis SPC
  • Ensure customer problem resolution activities, including costs for materials, labour, and time relating to customer issues via PPS / 8D process and on customer required documentation.
  • Raise and maintain all OPC documentation, control plans etc., for the production processes
  • Ensure all quality concerns are communicated to the manufacturing teams
  • Generate relevant documentation for all customer sample submissions and review with customer representatives, including chasing for internal required information, and AAR submissions at the customer
  • Attend production meetings to deal with both internal and external quality issues
  • Deal with supplier concerns relative to the area of responsibility in liaison with STA
  • The setting up and audit of any dimensional data collection
  • To perform capability studies were required
  • Performing gauge R&R studies to satisfy MSA
  • To carry out quality system audits
  • The setting and verification of quality standards as and when required
  • To carry out PSW, system and process audit trackers
  • to attend APQP meetings on new projects and engineering changes and produce the required documentation for the same
  • Production of all internal and external spider charts for quality measures
  • Ability to chair continuous improvement meetings in liaison with departmental manager
  • Be a part of PFMEA teams
  • Uphold the standards of ISO14001/IATF16949
  • Take responsibility for the management of co-ordination of supplier parts through the quarantine area and any subsequent activities
  • Achieve a high standard of housekeeping and environmental awareness at all times
  • Always working within Health and Safety guidelines
  • Responsible for warranty and field analysis reviews
Skills & Qualifications
  • Graduate in engineering discipline
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • VDA 6.3 Process Auditor Qualification
  • Good understanding of ISO14001/IATF16949
  • Working knowledge of SPC and its implementation
  • A proven methodical approach to problem-solving
  • Good understanding of APQP elements
  • Experience of First Tier Supply to major OEM

Salary and Benefits
  • Salary £35K to £40K
  • Based at Tipton Site. 40 hours per week
