Job Description

Job title: Customer Service AdvisorReports to: Customer Service Team LeaderSalary: £9 phSummary:Provision of a front line service to the core customer base, as part of a customer focused team. Efficiently managing all inbound calls and placing orders on the system. Maximising our sales opportunities through timely resolution of issues and problems,and by building effective customer relations.Role responsibilities:

  • Answering inbound calls in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Taking orders via phone, fax, email or post.
  • Accurate inputting of orders on the system.
  • Handling customer queries, problems and complaints in the best interests of both the customer and the company.
  • Keeping close communication with Customers and Agents regarding resolution of problems.
  • Providing help and advice to customers as required and assign calls to other functions where appropriate.
  • Booking orders in for delivery.
  • Raising credit notes.
  • Invoicing (small orders as required).
  • Managing returns to site - checking products back in for resale, staff consumption or disposal. Logging details on the system.
  • Collating Christmas and Easter orders.
  • Following up product complaints with manufacturers, following company procedure.
  • Reporting on issues relating to service and delivery.
  • Accurate filing of all relevant paperwork on a daily basis.
  • Taking payment over the phone using credit card machine.
  • Meeting/greeting visitors.
  • Close working with warehouse to jointly manage accurate order despatch.
  • As part of team rota, covering early/late starts within the core hours.
