Job Description

Established for over 40 years, our client, a food processor, and wholesaler, has built an enviable reputation for its commitment to always providing a professional service to its prestigious hospitality customers whilst maintaining the highest quality ofproducts. They now seek to recruit a Production Manager to manage their process, people, traceability, and systems.As Production Manager you will:-supervise 20-30 staff involved in the preparation of fresh food produce-take responsibility for daily production planning-ensure that planned outputs and performance are consistently achieved-manage product traceability, labelling and the timely completion of quality-related documentation-identify cost savings, efficiency, quality and GMP improvements-routinely check & manage all aspects of the product process and documentation-maintain hygiene and sanitary procedures-hold your team to account on how equipment is used and cared for-liaise closely with warehouse/dispatch-ensure that all team members pursue safe working practices-take responsibility for the full compliance and support of all environmental, health and safety requirements and reportingAs Production Manager, you will need:-a Level 3 HACCP qualification-experience of fresh food production/processing at a supervisory level-initiative-a sharp eye for identifying and amending weak points in the production process-confidence in your ability to lead and manage a team-the ability to drive change/improvementsBenefits & rewards:-£30-40k salary-Weekly food allowance-Annual profit-related bonus-Christmas Hamper & allowance-20 days holiday + statutory bank holidays (pro rata)-PensionHours:Monday to Friday, 6am to 3.30pmSaturdays, 6am to 12pm(One rotational day off during the week)
