Job Description

A leading engineering and manufacturing business in Thetford are looking to hire a Senior Materials & Logistics Coordinator to come on board and take responsibility for the coordination and movement of materials and products across the business.This includes managing the procurement, storage, and distribution of materials, as well as coordinating transportation and logistics activities.Responsibilities will include:

  • Take receipt of deliveries and coordinate the movement of materials and products within the factory.
  • Monitor inventory levels and make sure materials are stored correctly.
  • Develop strategies to improve the efficiency of logistics and materials management processes.
  • Monitor the performance of logistics and materials management activities.
  • Provide guidance and support to Junior Coordinators.
  • Perform materials functions, including locating parts, picking and kitting for programs.
  • Prepare finished goods for further processes.
  • Arrange shipments and ensure documentation is correct
  • Perform part counting to support perpetual inventory and stock take.
  • Process paperwork and ship to vendors
In order for your application to be considered, youll need:
  • Experience in logistics and materials coordination
  • Background working in Aerospace or Automotive manufacturing (or related industry)
  • Project management skills
  • Good Microsoft Office and logistics management software skills
