Job Description

Production Planner/Controller Wanted: Be the Pulse of Production!About the Opportunity: A leading manufacturer in the heavy production industry is on the lookout for a Production Planner/Controller who thrives in a dynamic and challenging environment. This role is perfect for someone who can keep a sharpeye on the entire production process, from raw materials to final assembly. If you enjoy seeing projects through from start to finish and have a knack for juggling multiple tasks efficiently, you could be the ideal candidate to help streamline their productionoperations.Your Role:

  • Production Oversight: Work closely with the Production Manager and other planning staff to ensure smooth and efficient production workflows. You’ll be the go-to person for everything from production orders to on-the-fly problem solving.
  • Material and Labor Coordination: Keep tabs on material availability and labor allocation, making sure that everything is in place for the timely production of heavy equipment. When necessary, push tasks to subcontracting to meet productiongoals.
  • Planning and Problem Solving: Use your methodical and systematic approach to handle production planning, tackling any material supply issues that arise, and ensuring they are resolved for future operations.
  • Technology and Communication: Collaborate with the IT Manager to enhance planning software tools and participate in monthly production meetings to report on project progress and address any issues.
What Theyre Looking For:
  • Proven ability to absorb and assimilate technical information quickly.
  • Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office, with experience in MRP software (LN experience preferred, but training will be provided).
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively across departments.
  • A methodical, systematic approach to tasks with impeccable attention to detail.
  • A tenacious and enthusiastic attitude, ideally with experience in an engineering manufacturing environment.
