Mobile Plant Operator, £31,122Location: Outskirts of ThetfordHours: 40 hours per week; 06:00 - 14:30 and 13:30 - 22:00. Enjoy 20 days of holidays plus 8 UK bank holidays.Job Purpose: As a Mobile Plant Operator, youll be instrumental in our operations, driving the loading shovel, managing stockpiles, and maintaining a clean and efficient site environment. Youll play a crucial role in ensuring smooth production processes whileadhering to safety protocols.Key Responsibilities:* Drive mobile plant equipment, ensuring continuous operation and efficient material handling.* Manage aggregate loading for incoming and outgoing shipments, maintaining stock levels.* Operate and maintain the aggregate screening plant, promptly reporting any issues.* Maintain cleanliness and organization across the site, including equipment and confined spaces.* Demonstrate a proactive approach to safety, leading by example and promoting a culture of compliance.* Provide support to the Team Leader in stock control and daily tasks.* Assist production teams as needed, contributing to overall operational success.What Were Looking For:Essential Skills / Experience:* Proficiency in operating front-end loaders with appropriate qualifications.* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.* Mechanical aptitude with a keen eye for cleanliness and maintenance.* Demonstrated reliability and accountability in previous roles.Desirable Skills / Experience:* Experience in manufacturing environments, particularly in waste, aggregates, or concrete.* Ability to contribute ideas for process improvement and innovation.* Formal training in Health & Safety or Environmental practices is a plus.
