Job Description

Role: HR OfficerLocation: ThetfordHours: Monday - Friday 8:30am - 4:30pm or 9am - 5pm (OFFICE BASED)Salary: up to £40,000 per annum depending on your experienceBenefits:

Reporting to the Finance Director you will support the business with all HR and Health & Safety functions. You will have a naturally friendly personality, positive attitude and be able to empower a positive, open and inclusive culture in the business.   • First point of contact for employee relations
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Recruitment and onboarding of new employees
  • Provide advice on matters of salaries, redundancy, and employment law
  • Manage the payroll process, ensuring that all staff are paid accurately and on time
  • Support the management team with any other HR-related tasks
  • Develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics, and procedures
  • Champion appropriate training and development of all staff
  • Make recommendations of change for the company and design projects for improvement
  • Provide input into setting budgets for own area and then track and manage spend
  • Ensure all records are updated and maintained on the business system
About you:
  • CIPD Qualified or part qualified or equivalent qualification
  • Proven experience working as a HR Officer, with a focus on Health & Safety
  • Strong knowledge of current employment legislation and best practice
  • Experience of payroll processing
  • Results focussed, motivated and like to take ownership of tasks and projects
