  • What youll need to succeedCandidates can come from either a biology or bioinformatics background. Experience of working in crop science, genetic research or a related field is desirable, either from academia or industry, but being able to help translate biological questions into research plans/projects is highly valuable. As well as strong communication, organisational and time management skills, you should have:
  • An MSc / PhD (or equivalent experience) in biology, bioinformatics, computational biology, statistics, data science or a related subject;
  • A track record of line managing staff, either biologists or bioinformaticians, ideally within a research company/organisation;
  • Strong theoretical (or practical) biology knowledge, with a preference for molecular genetics or genomics backgrounds;
  • Previous experience developing protocols or SOPs to optimise internal processes & workflows;
  • The ability to work with diverse teams and internal/external stakeholders, either from internal projects or external collaborations;
  • Project management abilities;
  • A drive for creative problem-solving.
  • What youll get in returnYoull have the chance to work for a rapidly expanding, cutting edge biotech company leading the way on research that has a direct impact on food security and helping to solve significant real world problems affecting hundreds of millions of people.
