Job Description

In response to the unprecedented events we are currently experiencing due to the spread of Coronavirus COVID-19, at this time we will be conducting our interviews via video callsDimensions is proud to be one of very few social care organisations that are members of the Great Places To Work programme.As a member of the Dimensions Leadership team, the Head of Business Development is responsible for leading Business Development activity and growth in Dimensions, ensuring that it supports the Group Strategy. This includes direct line management of a small central function and matrix management of Regional Business Development resource.The post-holder is responsible for leading a culture of development within the Dimensions Group and ensuring that Business Development processes are effective and fit for purpose.The Head of Business Development is also responsible for the management of the Housing Brokerage function, which identifies and delivers quality housing options for new referrals and people Dimensions supports who may be living in unsuitable housing.Although the location of this role is listed as Theale (our head office), the base can be anywhere within reasonable commuting distance of any of our regional offices.A list of Dimensions offices - Interviews will take place on Microsoft teams on Wednesday 5th August 2020.About the role Your main duties will include:

  • Ensure that the Business Development processes and procedures are efficient, appropriate and adopted consistently across the Dimensions Group.
  • Report to the Group Executive on Business Development activity across the group and support the GDHBD to prepare Board and committee assurance.
  • Support the Regional Business Development Teams to deliver sustainable growth that is in line with Dimensions Strategic Objectives.
  • Ensure that the Group has appropriate Business Development resources that can be flexed to meet Group or regional needs.
  • Develop and oversee a Growth Plan for the Dimensions Group that supports the delivery of the Dimensions 2025 Strategy.
  • Lead on strategic projects that support the GDHBD across the Housing and Business Development Directorate.
  • About youThe successful applicant will have:
  • Experience of managing a remote team
  • Knowledge of social care commissioning and procurement systems and practices
  • Experience of developing strategy and growth plans
  • Knowledge and understanding of TUPE and its impact upon bid processes
  • Experience of managing tender processes
  • Knowledge of approaches to costing and pricing and understanding of the construction of pricing models
