Job Description

Building Surveyor – Housing Association – About The Client:Castlefield Recruitment are currently recruiting a permanent Building Surveyor for a South Manchester Housing Association. This role offers £43,329 - £45,372 plus a car allowance and mileage with agile working between home and site.Building Surveyor – Housing Association – About The Role:

  • Carry out surveys and inspections to determine the condition of existing buildings and identify and analyse defects, making proposals for remedial works
  • Prepare reports detailing findings in relation to buildings defects setting out proposals for remedial action in both reactive and proactive situations
  • Play a key role in the triaging of complex building defects such as a damp and mold to determine the best course of action in relation to identifying causes and appropriate remedial action
  • Ensure projects are completed on budget and to schedule as per specifications
  • Play a key role in ensuring customers’ homes are safe and secure in line with decent homes standards and mitigate any risks associated with HHSRS
Building Surveyor – Housing Association – What You Need:
  • Possession of a qualification such as BSc Hons Building Surveying/HNC Building Studies and or other recognised building or professional qualification
  • Full driving licence
  • Knowledge of sector related Health and Safety and statutory compliance including HHSRS
  • Proven track record of dealing with complex building defects and experience in the inspection and survey of domestic property
