Much of the work is machine setting and mechanical fix on fail interventions.You will work within a great team of approx. 30 individuals spread across the 3 shifts, so there is plenty of opportunity to learn from one another. There is a huge opportunity for regular overtime if you desire.To add to this, you also get£500 Productivity BonusWelcome Bonus after 12 weeksReferral schemepension and life coverThe RoleTo maximise the department machines output and maintain the manufacturing processes within the designed specification.To work with other team members to continuously improve manufacturing performance.Key responsibilitiesProvision of engineering and operational support to a manufacturing areaMachine setting, to achieve product specification and performanceMaintenance of automated inspection systemsFault finding and corrective actionMachine inspectionResponding to minor breakdownsPreventative maintenanceMajor breakdownsTo achieve compliance with all Health, Safety and Environmental requirements, Food Safety requirements, Legislative requirements, GMP and company policies and procedures.Preparation of sub-assemblyThe Ideal CandidateWill have a formal qualification in an appropriate subject-ONC/HNC, BTEC/City and Guilds in a Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Discipline/apprenticeshipKnowledge of high speed and/or food processing production or similarMachine settingFault finding and problem solving
