Job Description

Support Worker up to £13.00 per hour depending on experience.NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or similar Qualifications or experience are desirable.My Client are a leading Childcare organisation based in Essex, who are looking for an experienced Support Worker to work closely with the Home Manager.A brief overview of duties include, but are not limited to;

  • Working with a group of children/young people within the home environment and play an active role in assessing their potential, designing and implementing all aspects of care programmes.
  • To support and care for children/young people who require 24hour residential care with emotional and behavioural difficulties.
  • Play an important role in promoting and maximising the capabilities of the children, including the learning and safety aspects and all key areas of development for all individuals living at the home.
  • To be a consistent and caring adult role model.
  • To be jointly responsible for the safeguarding of children and young people in our care, with a requirement that you adhere to all relevant safeguarding policies and procedures.
  • To work on a rostered shift system including evening, night time and weekend work, offering flexibility to assist the home to meet individual care needs of the children/young people placed at the home.
My client are flexible to considering candidates with a good nature and who are committed and passionate about Childrens Care, who may be looking for an opportunity to pursue a career within Childcare.Aswell as no experience, my client could also consider someone with experience, but who is semi-retired and looking for short or part time work.
