Job Description

Purchase ledger senior role reporting into the Finance DirectorInvolves practical duties of business bookkeeping,Process over 400 purchase orders a month,Responsible for invoices and expenses,Be familiar with bank funded payments systemAssist with cash management and bank reconciliation as part of the finance team.Accuracy and attention to detail are key for professionals in this role.Supervise all aspects of purchase ledger and expenses ledger processing,Ensure that purchase invoices and staff expense claims are processed and paid on a timely and accurate basis.Be able to take ownership and additional responsibilities as the business continues to growRecord every product and supplier invoice that goes through the businessProcess log and record any office, IT investment or petty cash purchases - and keep tabs on the payment process using a clear reference and date system.Reporting directly to the Finance Manager,to generally assists in accountingProviding any information required by the Finance Director.Responsible for making BACS or cheque payments,generating coding and checking invoices,working out VAT payments,Checking and reconciling statements and dealing with all purchase enquiries.Person Specification

  • An aptitude for IT - knowledge of software packages like Excel, Sage and BACS
