Job Description

Due to expansion, an experienced Production Operative is required for a well-established manufacturing business in Telford, Shropshire. In return for your skill and experience, this business will offer you an initial annual salary of £22,000 per annum, onceyou have passed your probation and moved onto shifts, the salary will increase to just over £27,000.Please be advised that this role will initially start on day shifts, but once youve passed a probationary period, youll be required to work a rotating 6-2/2-10 shift pattern. The pay rate will rise once you are working shifts.As a Production Operative, you will address these tasks in a typical week:

  • Putting manufactured components through the next manufacturing stage
  • Checking the parts against technical drawings
  • Ensuring the machines are running correctly
  • Addressing any quality issues with the manufacturing department
  • Ensuring all components meet the required customer standard before they progress to production.
To apply for this Production Operative role, you will need previous experience within a manufacturing environment and excellent written and oral communication skills. The below requirements are highly desirable:
  • Previous experience with sheet metal, stainless steel or aluminium
  • COSHH Awareness certificate, or previous experience working to COSHH standards.
