Job Description

Butler Rose is pleased to be retained by a progressive innovative business that is at the top of their field with the recruitment of a New Financial Controller. This exciting opportunity is highly likely to progress into a CFO role in the company withina year.This organisation is rapidly growing with an impressive sales pipeline approaching £1bn, they are also part of an international group, and at the forefront of innovation and expansion. Ideally our client is looking for an ambitious Financial Controller tojoin that has a background in any of the following sectors - manufacturing / construction / property / contracting.As a Financial Controller, youll report into the CEO and play a pivotal role in shaping the financial direction of the company and ensuring its long-term financial stability.Your responsibilities will include

  • Financial Strategy: Develop and implement financial strategies to support growth and expansion plans.
  • Procedures and Controls: Establish and maintain effective financial procedures and internal controls.
  • Management Information: Enhance the quality and timeliness of financial reporting, analysis, and forecasting.
  • Risk Management: Identify financial risks and opportunities and develop strategies to mitigate risks and maximize growth opportunities.
  • Budgeting and Planning: Lead the annual budgeting process and long-term financial planning.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all financial, tax, and regulatory requirements.
  • Cost Management: Implement measures to optimise operational efficiency and profitability.
  • Capital Raising: Support capital raising initiatives for growth plans.
  • International Development: Collaborate with the CEO on international expansion and capital investment projects.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with key stakeholders to provide financial insights and recommendations.
  • Staff Management: Lead, grow, and develop a Cost & Reporting Assistant.
Person SpecProfessionally qualified accountant (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA).Proven experience in a finance leadership role.Experience in the manufacturing or construction industry.Strong financial acumen with a corporate mindset and strategic thinking ability.Exceptional leadership skills.Ability to think innovatively and provide creative solutions to financial challenges.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.A track record of successful capital raising and improving financial management/information.Benefits includePerformance-based bonus.Generous annual leave entitlement.Health insurance.Death in service benefits.Pension scheme.This requirement will attract a high volume of applications, so please do not delay in submitting your CV to save disappointment as my client is keen to run this campaign as fluid as possible.
