Job Description

Compliance Manager£35,000 to £44,000 plus BenefitsTelfordFood ManufacturingA Food Manufacturing company are looking for a Compliance Manager to join their technical team. You will support the day-to-day management of the site Technical Function to ensure legal compliance, food safety and adherence to customer specifications. Yourbackground will be within food manufacturing with experience working within a technical or quality role.As a Compliance Manager your day-to-day responsibilities will consist of.

  • Reporting into the Technical Manager you will be responsible for championing the completion of root cause analysis of key drivers of non-conformance to drive quality improvement.
  • Carry out technical training and competency assessment across the quality & production team.
  • Monitor the site non-conformance logs for trends and work collaboratively with operations to drive improvements.
  • Taking part in the implementation of the HACCP site plan.
  • Supporting the wider team with site audits (internal and third party audits)
  • Supporting Production with Technical monitoring and auditing to ensure that customer requirements are understood and achieved.
  • Ensuring all new and existing products have the appropriate due diligence in place to meet customer and retailer requirements.
  • Understanding the principle of food fraud, key and to be aware of recent and current issues.
  • Supporting in the upskilling and development of the wider team.
An exciting opportunity for a Compliance Manager with the following.
  • HND or Degree qualified within a Food related subject with experience working within food manufacturing.
  • Strong understanding of food safety, HACCP and legality.
  • Ability to communicate to range of key stakeholders, both verbally and through training
  • Experience and understanding of BRC Food Safety or ISO 9000 standards.
  • Proven leadership skills and experience of motivating teams.
  • Knowledge and experience of major retailers and dealing with external audits.
  • Competent with Microsoft Packages and Technical systems
  • Positive thinking and self-motivated individual with good communication skills.
