Job Description

Reed Accountancy & Finance are delighted to be working with a well established client in Team Valley who are looking for an experienced Purchase Ledger Controller to join their team on a permanent basis.Working in a busy finance team, your main duties will include:

  • Support the purchase ledger team with day to day queries.
  • Creditor review including ageing, credit limits, new account vetting.
  • Close ledgers in line with accounts timetable, balance with control account.
  • Maintain accrual entries, reverse entries not required etc. to allow manageable accrual postings.
  • Maintain purchase order register, monitor for missing / incorrect data.
  • Monitor purchase order register for price / quantity variances. Liaise with procurement and commercial staff to resolve queries.
  • Maintain relationships with commercial teams to allow quick resolution of issues.
  • Verify and process all payments runs and present for approval in line with policy.
  • Other duties as instructed by Group Accountant.
  • Carry out performance reviews with direct reports.
You will need:
  • Experience of managing a small team in a similar role.
  • Good MS Excel skills.
  • Excellent communication.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills.
