Gateshead location Entry level starting rates from £13 per hour minimum plus 10% shift allowance per shift
Clear pay scale advancements to premium shift rates - We are maybe able to offer improved rate for very experienced candidates (based on experience/multiple skill sets after assessing candidates). Double days
1st week Early (6am-2pm Mon-Friday) 20min Break / 2nd week Lates: (2pm – 10:45pm) 20 min Break / Friday shift: 2pm – 7pm (10 min Break) - (Staff chose the shorter breaks to make for early back shift finish and early finish Friday)

THE BUSINESSWestray Recruitment Group are seeking a CNC Machinist to join our client based in Gateshead. The right candidate will be joining a growing company who export their products across the globe. The company in question has been a market leader within their sectorsfor over 50 years and is looking to add a skilled CNC Machinist to their team.The organisation in question has a strong order book and they can offer stable work. THE ROLE

Operating Mazak CNC Machines, Milling Producing bespoke one offs (no repetitive work)
Producing tools for Thermoforming Machines
Mainly working with Aluminium, some resin materials and 10% steel plate. Working from Engineering/Technical drawings

THE PERSON

Experience in operating Mazatrol CNC Controls & experience running Mazak CNC Machines, Milling.
Time Served apprenticeship. Able to read, check and apply drawings. Experience in basic machine programming on Mazatrol (Mazak Machines), although most CAD file are supply, operators are required to program basic files at the machine.
Minimum of 3 axis programming
3, 4 & 5 Axis CNC machining experience preferred, need a minimum of 5 years’ experience, not straight out of apprenticeship.
Flexible working attitude required to work across multiple CNC machines.
Must have ability to get into work for shift start time (6am)
