Job Description

Talent84 Have a fantastic new opportunity through one of our long standing clients for someone hoping to advance their career within senior management roles.Job Spec :To assist the Planning & Performance Manager in providing the Operations/Senior Management team with current, timely and accurate data to ensure immediate business decisions are taken to safeguard over/under spend associated with operational efficienciesand improvement activities.To assist the Planning & Performance Manager in providing the Operations/Senior Management team with current, timely and accurate data to ensure immediate business decisions are taken to safeguard over/under spend associated withoperational efficiencies and improvement activities.Key Accountabilities :

  1. Ensure accurate collation and entry of data relating to waste, yields, OEE and material usage.
  2. Retrieving information and entering data onto numerous spreadsheets.
  3. Maintain data base.
  4. Participate in ad-hoc projects associated with continuous improvement activity.
  5. To co-ordinate activities/findings with management to effectively manage outputs (daily plan) and labour across all areas.
  6. Good practice procedures enforced (colour coding / personal hygiene / hand washing / waste removal). Finds procedure followed for foreign body hazards identified in the area.
  7. All employees wearing required PPE (for example: thermal gloves). Accidents and Near Miss incidents reported and follow up actions closed out.
  8. To make suggestions on ways to improve performance in your area and implement agreed actions. To seek to develop yourself and your team by attending training courses, delivering appropriate skills training in your area and ensuring sign off against approvedStandard Operating Procedures. You must also be flexible in being able to transfer to other work areas to develop business understanding and skills set
  9. Ensure the safety, quality, authenticity and legality of our products are maintained at all times through compliance with Food Safety and quality procedures and systems.
Knowledge & Skills:
  • Proven skill level relating to the area concerned.
  • Able to understand and implement Good Manufacturing Practice.
  • Can lead and instruct others.
  • Inherent understanding of site hygiene, technical, QA and Health & Safety.
  • Basic computer knowledge (word, excel, e-mail).
  • Effective communicator at all levels.
  • Can demonstrate a can-do attitude.
Measures of Performance:
  • Assist in achieving departmental targets while maintaining customer/company standards as appropriate.
  • Achievement of all departmental KPIs (i.e. labour, yields, OEE, customer complaints, internal/external audits, rejects, accidents, absence etc).
  • Internal/external customer compliance.
  • People/Team development via training initiatives/skills matrices.
Core Competencies:
  • Adherence to company procedures and legislative requirements.
  • Drive/Support continuous improvement activity.
  • Being trained to the appropriate standards/SOP.
  • Adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Lead/coach and develop Operatives. Be able to stand in for team colleagues as and when required.
  • Continuously evaluate own development needs to meet ever changing needs of the business.
  • Will carry out other duties as and when required.
