Job Description

Tructyrehas an exciting opportunity for an IT Support Technician to join our Customer Experience Centre in Gateshead. You will be joining on a full-time permanent basis and inreturn, you will receive a competitive salary of up to £34,000 per annum.Tructyre are a proud part of the Michelin Group and Euromaster group and Britains leading truck tyre specialist. Our mission is to De-risk Britains Fleets by offering complete, commercial tyre management to our nationwide clients. This includes tyre maintenance,tyre supply and 24/7 rapid emergency assistance.In the UK our team of 600 colleagues work across a warehouse network, regional depots, and our customer experience centre to take care of our customers.About the IT Support Technician role:Reporting to our IT Service Delivery Manager, you will join an established team to provide second line support for all employees within Tructyre. You will be responsible for resolving support requests as well as meeting customer satisfaction and continuousservice delivery demands.Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Provide 1st and 2nd line systems support of users, Desktop, Laptop and Printer infrastructure
  • Diagnosing and resolving technical issues
  • Providing desktop and server support
  • Escalating IT issues to the IT Management where necessary
  • Manage and troubleshoot Office 365 and other cloud based systems
  • Setting up and configuring new desktops, laptops, mobile phones, and tablets, including Installing authorised software to these devices
  • Ensuring security and upgrades are applied to desktops, laptops, mobile phones, and tablets and are kept up to date
  • Antivirus installation to all desktops and laptops
  • Fault finding on desktops, laptops, mobile phones and tablets
  • Reporting faults and maintaining logs on servers, desktops and laptops
  • Support to IT Management in solution analysis and design activities
  • Maintaining current knowledge of relevant developments in respect of ICT and strategy within your role
  • Ensuring that routine maintenance and processes are reviewed, maintained, and completed
  • Undertaking small to medium sized IT projects as instructed by the IT Management
What were looking for in our IT Support Technician:
  • Certification in Microsoft (MCSE/MCTS) and Cloud Computing Technologies is preferred
  • Experience in IT domain, and IT Systems Administration in mid-to-large enterprise preferred
  • Experience of Hardware maintenance
  • Experience administering and deploying system policies
  • Backup and restore software experience
  • Enthusiastic self-starter and must have fluent written and verbal English communication skills
  • Comfortable producing IT and user documentation
  • Must be appropriately resourceful and a keen trouble-shooter
  • Must have a professional attitude, good work ethic and efficiently pursue attention to detail
  • The candidate should be familiar with generation of reports and undertaking analysis using typical office environment tools such as Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Excel
  • Knowledge of ITIL and its application
