We are built on strong foundations of expertise, trust, a proven trackrecord, and financial solidity and stability which enables us to be conscious of the impact we make.Churchill currently employs over 14,000 members of staff and this number is expected grow considerably in line with the company expansion strategy.Overview:The role of IT Service Desk Analyst is a diverse role, working for a fast-paced department.The successful candidate can be sure that they will be joining a close-knit team; supportive of one another and all aiming for one ultimate goal; to ensure the smooth running of theBusiness IT requirements.In a dynamic department, there is never a quiet moment and on joining the team, the successful candidate, will recognise that not one day is the same as the next!This is an excellent opportunity for either a technically minded individual or a Level 1 IT engineer with good administrative abilities looking to take their career to the next level.This role will primarily be to assist the work of the IT Manager and provide on-going administrative support.Main responsibilities:

  • Liaising with external 3rd party IT support providers
  • Control of starters, leavers, and permission changes
  • Administration and control of all internal line of business software systems
  • Administration of IT assets
  • Assist with support for IT equipment including iPads
  • Issue of all IT equipment and credentials to users
  • Issue and follow up of all IT policies
  • User management & administration for Voice over IP phone systems
  • Creating, updating & maintaining administration documentation
  • Administration of company mobile phones (standard, Blackberry and Smart phones):
  • Liaising with the external 3rd party Mobile Communications provider
  • Issue of all mobile phone hardware to users
  • Issue and follow up of policies for company mobile phones
  • Ordering of all mobile phone equipment & accessories
  • Stock Management of all company mobile phones
  • Administration of Company PSTN telephone line
  • Daily management of incoming emails and post
  • Answering and managing all incoming calls to the IT team, outgoing post and couriers
Person specification:
  • Be a team player
  • Logical and structured approach
  • Evidence of experience of working to deadlines
  • Ability to manage conflicting demands and work at all levels across a diverse organisation
  • High level of attention to detail
Entry requirements:You need to have 5 GCSEs:
  • Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades D or above
  • 3x GCSEs grade A-C in any other subject
You must not already have a qualification in a similar subject at the same level, or higher level than this apprenticeship.Important Information:QAs apprenticeships are funded by the Education & Skills Funding Agency (ESFA), an executive agency of the Department for Education.To be eligible for a Government funded apprenticeship you must have lived in the UK or European Economic Area (EEA) for the last 3 consecutive years.
