We are working with a growing global business in Gateshead who are looking for a InfoSec Analyst to join their internal team. This is a great opportunity for an experienced InfoSec Analyst to join a small but growing team with plenty of scope for quickprogression within the business. The InfoSec Analyst will tend to day-to-day responsibilities on behalf of the Security Group, whilst delivering triage and managing communication in respect to security related incidents and events. They will coordinate with other teams to assist in the deliveryof projects for Security tooling for the businesses user base as well as providing assessments of our security posture.What will you be doing as a InfoSec Analyst* Actively monitor computer systems to ensure they are operating efficiently and free from threats* Use existing tooling to ensure coverage of these security products and interact with other teams or 3rd party vendors to ensure compliance* Reporting of security incidents and events to relevant teams as well as acting as a central coordinator* Carry out security assessments in relation to projects and change management* Produce, Develop, and ensure compliance with company Security Awareness programmes as well as delivering focused security training where appropriate.* Develop appropriate project related documentation/business cases. Implement projects in accordance with policy ensuring the identified goals and objectives are delivered on time.* Maintain the threat and information risk register and recommend and where possible deliver the appropriate remediation* Assist in the compilation of monthly reports in respect to compliance, assessments, and audits* Plan and execute on the deployment of new security programmes or tools What experience do you need as an InfoSec Analyst Essential* A strong understanding of security and networking technologies* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills* Experience in installing, operating and troubleshooting IT security related tools (AV, Firewalls, MDR, MDM, SIEM, Phishing sim, SEG etc).* Ability to research threats and drive risk reductions via policy and technical means.* Experience of building and maintaining secure mixed OS networks (using various Linux, Windows and UNIX OSes)* Experience of scripting languages* Experience of virtualisation platforms* Experience of cloud solutions (Azure, AWS, GCP)* Experience of automation tools and applicationsDesirable* Experience of SOAR platforms* Experience of managing Datacentre technologies (Switches, SAN, Routers)* Experience of managing WAF/proxies* Understanding of ISO27001 security management standardWhat will you get in return Basic salary of up to £60,000 + bonus Hybrid working environment (1 - 2 days on site)Private healthcareCompetitive pensionIf you feel you match the above click apply now with an up to date version of your CV.
