The business is committed to investing in their Gateshead manufacturingfacilities and when joining NFF, you will gain access to a best in class training programme and your journey with the business will have limitless potential.We are currently recruiting for a Hygiene Lead to ensure standards of cleanliness across the factory.WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING IN YOUR ROLE

  • Assist in providing support and leadership to the hygiene team ensuring all company policies and procedures are adhered to.
  • The main purpose of this role is to clean and maintain high standards of hygiene throughout the site in a safe, professional and efficient manner.
  • Equipment cleaning and working to GMP standards to avoid contamination and pest issues.
  • To undertake the scheduled hygiene daily & deep cleaning tasks on site following CICs, company procedures and Health & Safety regulations.
  • The Hygiene Operative may be required to work in confined spaces, at height, with elements of lifting and carrying.
  • Provide leadership, support and direction to hygiene team to ensure achievements of performance target.
  • Ensure team members are adhering to company procedures and policies
  • To be aware of safe systems of work practices and ensure compliance by all team members
  • Answer team member questions, help with team member problems, and oversees team member work for quality and guideline compliance.
  • Report any ongoing employee or production related issues to Shift Manager.
  • Complete all necessary documentation as required to high level of accuracy and timely manner.
  • Ensure all Health and Safety and hygiene standards are achieved.
  • Lead and motivate team members in their daily activities.
  • Complete scheduled daily hygiene and deep cleaning tasks.
  • Assist in the cleaning of equipment, food processing lines and areas to required standards.
  • To ensure all activities are in compliance with company procedures, practices and Health and Safety Regulations.
  • Responsible for ensuring that the changing areas are kept tidy and equipped with disposables (mobs and snoods).
  • To effectively carry out hygiene operations, internal and external, in such a manner as to ensure that storage areas and equipment where required is stripped, cleaned and reassembled in accordance with recognised procedures, practices, maintaining the higheststandards of cleanliness at all times, including health and safety so as to continually produce safe food.
  • To perform variety of tasks including safe and correct use of chemicals, deep clean or compacter use
WHAT EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS ARE REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITIONEssential:
  • Right to work in United Kingdom
  • Experience of working in a similar role
Desirable:
  • Experience of working in a food industry
  • Chemical training
  • Manual Handling training
  • Food Safety training
WHAT ARE THE FINER DETAILS OF YOUR ROLEThis is a permanent role where you will be required to work a total of 36 hours per week, comprising of 3 x 12-hour shifts. You will not work on a Sunday. This role provides an incredible work life balance, as you will have up to 7 days off between rotationsevery two weeks.WHAT SALARY PACKAGE YOU WILL BE RECEIVINGThis position pays £21,000 per annum.
