Job Description

Job Title: Die Cutting OperativeLocation: GatesheadSalary: £12:50 + per hour + OvertimeOur client Paragon Cutting Formes Ltd provides Print Finishing to small and large blue chip companies since 1991. They are dedicated to sustainability and innovation by always developing for the future. They occupy a modern factory unit of 12,000 sq. ft.equipped with efficient process machinery and fully equipped cutting forme manufacturing facility. They are looking for someone to join their hard working production team.Responsibilities

  • To set up, maintain and run the Die Cutting Machines for the duration of each production run.
  • Inspect and examine printed products for accuracy, conformance to specifications, and external defects.
  • Monitor and control operation of auxiliary equipment to assemble and finish products.
Personal Specification
  • Cutting & Creasing Operator
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to multitask
  • Strong interpersonal, motivational and communication skills
  • Strong understanding of the die cutting process
  • Strong mechanical aptitude/skills
  • The role is physically demanding with a high proportion of lifting and bending.
  • Ability to understand complex technical instructions, both verbal and written.
  • Good understanding of quality standards
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, meet deadlines and handle a wide variety of responsibilities
  • Completes compulsory training in approved timescales
  • Demonstrates satisfactory working relationships and shows respect for colleagues
  • Maintains an acceptable work rate and completes duties in a timely way
  • Works additional hours, if required, in order to discharge the companys obligations to its customers
  • Attends team briefings and training as required
  • Good attendance and timekeeping
Experience and Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years die cutting experience
  • Strong Maths skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) is preferred
