Data Architect£612.50per day (inside IR35)6 month contract (with extension processing for an additional 6 months)UK based remoteThis post holder will be responsible for providing technical guidance and leadership on thedevelopment of a common data platform, data-based products, data workflows and qualityassurance in line with the data strategy.The individual will be working in the central Architecture team and will take business and technicalrequirements and define the data elements of solutions in compliance with defined architecturalprinciples and data governance, ensuring longevity and maintainability of any solution. The postholder will be required to work regularly and closely with all teams across Digital to understand andinterpret their needs, as well as the wider architecture community in order to turn theserequirements into practical solutions for storing and managing data.You will Develop architectural patterns and standards for data based on ingestion routines, data governance and presentation requirements Work with Digital, Data and Technology colleagues to design data models and structures for internal and external applications and services that are fit for purpose and follow agreed data standards, including defining database types (graph, column, unstructured, relational) for each solution. Continually review and expand the common data platform, enabling and improving cross-system connectivity.You will have Able to communicate complex technical and data issues with clarity to a range of stakeholders. Experience of information and data architecture, frameworks, technologies, tools and best practice. Good understanding of database theory, design, development, and industry best practices in relational, non-relational and NoSQL technologies Track record of conceptual, logical and physical data modelling, and understands where to use different types of data models. Experience of defining data standards and governance policies. Problem solving and analytical thinking. Experience working with cloud data technologies, preferably Microsoft Azure. Experience working as part of an agile delivery team.
