Berry Recruitment Darlington are recruiting for a Control Systems Engineer for our esteemed Client in the Gateshead area.This is a new permanent role, within a company who featured in the North East Top 200 Largest Companies in 2021, and are continuing to grow!The main duties of the role are to manage the day to day maintenance functions, with a key responsibility for maintaining asset functionality through resource availability. This role will include identifying all parts, equipment and skill sets needed toeffectively perform job plans, scheduling fully planned work requests using SAP, along with the supervision of site contractors during down periods.Duties will include but are not limited to;- Being first point of contact to support the shift electrician for control issues.- Planning and implementing control and electrical projects to deadlines.- Writing PLC Code, creating electrical drawings, panel wiring, HMI Design and Cable containment.- Arrange any specialist equipment required for completion of tasks.- Working as a resource to the Senior Controls Engineer.Experience in the below would be beneficial;- Knowledge and experience in Electrical Control Systems and programs such as Scada, Rockwell SE and Wonderware.- Experience with HMI Design- Technical proficiency in software applications, knowledge of Ethernet IP networks, and knowledge of divicenet and Modbus networks would be beneficial.- Good understanding of mechanical and electrical disciplines.- Working within a manufacturing environment.- Experience with Allen Bradley PLCs would be advantageous but not essential for this role.This role will be based on site in Gateshead, at the Head Office and manufacturing plant.The Client would ask that all Candidates have a relevant manufacturing/engineering HND/ Degree qualification or equivalent.The Client would like to speak to self-motivated and tenacious individuals with a keen attention to detail, ability to build relationships, multitask and work in a fast paced environment.This role is Monday to Friday; Monday to Thursday 8:00am - 16:45pm, Friday 8:00am - 12:30pm.Salary is to be discussed in person, with 2% of the annual salary as a Guaranteed Annual Service Bonus, additional to a Company Bonus Structure of up to 5% dependant on company target achievement. There is a pension scheme in place and the Client will matchthe employee contribution up to 6%.
