This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a business who support people experiencing challenging circumstances suchas homelessness and addiction.Reporting to the Finance Director, the Accountant will ensure that the team provides an excellent service to the organisation. * Assume responsibility for the management of the annual audit of the statutory accounts.* Establish a sound working relationship with the external auditors, providing all information required to ensure a smooth audit to the agreed timetable* Regularly review CL banking requirements to ensure that they support the Strategic Plan.* Maintain and update as necessary a register of bank accounts and authorised signatories. * Develop and maintain a cash flow forecasting model, providing regular reports as part of the Board pack.* Manage the cash balances of the organisation to ensure maximum return* Work with the finance team to ensure that monthly procedures are appropriate and support the information used in the monthly management accounts* Check reconciliations and ensure that all unreconciled items are investigated* Check that all new projects are set up and accounted for correctly with regard to Charity Commission requirements.The business offers great benefits including 25 days AL (plus BH) rising with length of service + 2 wellness days + birthday holiday.
