Job Description

Qualified Teacher (Art & Outdoor Learning) ReferencePRI37878LocationTor view School - Trelawny Road,Tavistock, West Devon PL19 0JNWe are looking for a passionate, dedicated, and inspirational Teacher to join our teaching team, with proven track records in achieving high standards of quality.The successful candidate will preferably need to be experienced in the delivery of Art and/or Outdoor Learning to small groups of students or on a one to one basis.As a Teacher at Tor View School your key areas of responsibility and experience will include:

  • Planning and preparation of art or outdoor programme delivery and/or classroom based training sessions
  • Delivery of activities for which you hold the appropriate qualifications, or for which you have been in-house assessed, and assisting alongside staff of a relevant level of qualification or experience
  • Promoting and enabling social development opportunities
  • Providing creative approaches to learning
  • An understanding of project-based learning
  • Experience in theuse of interventions
  • An understanding or experience of working with students with a range of complex needs, including ASC or Emotional, Social and Attachment related needs.
