Job Description

A high profile charitable organisation, based in Devon, is seeking an Finance Manager as part of a succession planning process. This is an excellent role for an individual to make their mark, implementing processes, whilst managing a small team and workingalongside the Finance Director.Key focus of the role:

  • Accurate and timely production of financial & management accounts
  • Providing support to budget holders
  • Line management of a small, experienced finance team (4)
  • Improving automation and process control
Specific duties and responsibilities include:
  • Production of annual budget, reforecasting, liaising with budget holders and providing variance analysis
  • Ensuring ledgers are accurately maintained, maintain cash flow forecast and support with debt recovery
  • Delivery of month end timetable, including balance sheet reconciliations
  • Monitoring of capital expenditure
  • VAT returns
  • Assist with annual accounts and reporting
Working in the heart of the operation the ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills to be able to work with a wide range of stakeholders; both internally and externally.Ideally ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified with previous management accounts experience, to bring strong technical skills to the role whilst being enthusiastic, with the ability to motivate and develop the team.A track record of process and system improvement, and/or experience of implementing new systems would be a great advantage.
