Job Description

Charity Operations LeadLocation: Homebased / remote workingSalary Range: £35,000 - £40,000 per annumHours: Full Time for37.5 hours per weekContract: PermanentResponsible to: Board of TrusteesAbout the RoleOur client, is looking for a Charity professional to join the organisation. The aim of this fundamental leadership role is to oversee operational strategies that will strengthen the charity and enrich invaluable partnerships with our families and key stakeholders.Why your role mattersAs the Charity Operations Lead you will be at the forefront of leading the organisation through this exciting phase of growth. You will be an ambassador for the charity, providing leadership and guidance as you build robust relationships with family members,volunteers and staff.You will manage day-to-day operations of the Charity and have overall responsibility for the charitys finances, HR, Marketing and governance functions including line-managing a small team.As the Charity lead you will collaborate with the Board of Trustees to develop and implement their five-year strategy, driving operational excellence across the organisation.About youYou will be a natural team player with experience of managing a small team in the charity sector and have familiarity of the regulatory framework for charities.Strong stakeholder engagement skills are key for this role with a track record of being able to strengthen and manage relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and externally.With your passion for making a real difference and experience of successfully leading an organisational change you will be highly organised and able to project manage, plan, balance, and cope with competing priorities.The successful candidate will have an excellent understanding and application of CRMS and will be fully competent using Microsoft Office packages, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook and Office 365.It would be great if you had

  • A good understanding of the healthcare and disability sectors including national policy.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce, Form Assembly and Mailchimp would be an advantage.

Other information
  • The role is advertised as full-time, but they would consider 0.8 FTE and consideration will also be given to flexible working.
  • Some weekend/out of hours work will be required.
  • The post-holder is required to be DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) cleared.

About the CharityOur client is a longstanding charity working across the UK (United Kingdom), alongside a similar charity in Ireland, to provide support and information to parents and their children affected by upper limb difference.Their Members are integral to everything the charity does, and they work hard to ensure that every member is valued, supported and encouraged. The members are amazing and they shout about their achievements whenever they can. They share success stories andthose wow moments, big and small, to show families just how incredible the children are.The charity supports over 600 children directly through family membership of the charity and helps new parents and children by providing freely available information and advice. A vital source of support is provided by 19 volunteer-led local branches whoorganise events and meet-ups for families.
