Job Description

Office 365, Virtualisation, Microsoft Servers, Mitel Phones, Excel Macros, Access and SQL databases.We are looking for a Senior IT Technician with Database experience to join a busy, business critical IT Support team near Plymouth. Please note that this is not a remote role, you will need to be in the office at least 2/3 times a week.You will be part of a team of 5 who manage the IT Support for the whole business, including 60 internal staff, plus a number of independent re-sellers across the country.In addition to a very competitive salary there is a lot of job security on offer. Established since the late 1800s, growth has been steady and there are plans to continue expanding, even thought Covid.Senior IT Technician responsibilities:

  • Managing the continued roll out of Microsoft products into the business.
  • Supporting and maintaining on-premise and cloud-based storage - and an ongoing project of moving as much to cloud-based storage as possible.
  • Supporting colleagues with technical queries of all natures and levels of complexity.
  • Maintaining and supporting SQL and Access databases.
  • Engaging with colleagues across the business, at different seniority levels to report on key issues within the business.
  • Supporting, configuring, and maintaining Office 365, Intune, VMWare, Active Directory and Group Policy.

  • Good knowledge of databases such as Microsoft SQL and/or Microsoft Access.
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Happy working in an office environment 2 or more time a week near Plymouth.
