Job Description

Enable Futures are operating as an employment business on behalf of its client and recruiting for a permanent Quantity Surveyor based from the offices in Taunton, Somerset. Joining a highly respected commercial interior design company your career will be in excellent hands.This standout commercial interior design & building contractor, are looking to hire a Quantity Surveyor due to business expansion in the South West!We are ideally seeking someone with 2 years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor as well as a good knowledge and understanding of the construction and/or fit out industries.The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the estimating and project management teams in the financial control of projects from start to finish. You will be working on projects from £20k up to £1million.The working hours are 40 hours per week Monday to Friday. The annual salary is £35,000 - £40,000 PA depending on experience.Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the estimation and quotations of new projects.
  • Update industry standard rates and compare with existing costing strategy.
  • Produce, monitor, analyze and control ongoing project costs.
  • Summarize project financials at key stages and put forward recommendations.
  • Liaise with both suppliers and customers to enable clear understanding of project finances.
  • Produce BI Weekly management reports on the financial status of projects.
  • Review and improve current process to bring in line with ISO 9001 Accreditation.
  • Experience, attributes & skills sought:
  • 2 years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor as well as a good knowledge and understanding of the construction and/or fit out industries.
  • Car Driver.
  • Professional, confident and charismatic representing the brand well at all times.
