The hospital also provides an acute inpatient admissions service for men over the ageof 18.Sycamore 1 & 2andSwift Wardsare our male acute services at Cygnet Hospital Taunton. The service provides a safe and stabilising environment for men who are experiencing an acute episode of mental illness and require anemergency admission.As an Occupational Therapy Assistant the role involves planning and implementing activities as a therapeutic medium under the guidance of the Occupational Therapist who works full time and is based on Sycamore 1 & 2 Ward. You will also be supported by thewider Occupational Therapy Team based at Taunton including the Head of Occupational Therapy. The post holder will be offered support and guidance to utilise standardised assessments and implement structured groups.In this role you will work within an MDT (which consists of Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Nursing, Medical and Social Work) to support recovery and rehabilitation for service users oat Cygnet Hospital TauntonThe hospital is situated in a rural setting amongst Taunton farmland, within acres of peaceful fields.
