IT Support Engineer (Field Based)

Job Description

Workplace IT provide specialist Microsoft based IT Support Services to many of the UKs leading healthcare organisations.The Field IT Support Engineer role is responsible for on-site support and troubleshooting at our clients locations, the installation, configuration and upgrade of IT devices, new client on-boarding and assisting with small IT and Telecoms projects.Key Responsibilities:Provide On-Site IT Support and TroubleshootingRespond and attend as quickly as reasonably possible in emergency situationsInstall new IT and Telecoms EquipmentUpgrade existing IT and Telecoms EquipmentSupport the installations of small IT and Telecoms Projects.Support the On-Boarding of New Clients and UsersBuild in-person trusted relationships with our clients and make yourself invaluable.Keep our PSA / RMM and Documentation System Up to data (ConnectWise)Experience and Skills Required:2 x Years Microsoft 365 / AD Support and Troubleshooting2 x Years Windows 10 / 11 ExperienceExperience in upgrading laptops and computers (memory and SSD)Anti-Virus / Malware / Web Content FilteringDraytek Routers (or similar) troubleshootingUbiquity WIFI (or similar) troubleshootingUsed to liaising with third party providers such at Dell and BTExceptional customer service / customer facing skillsExperience working within formalised processes (ISO Compliance / GDRP) etcHappy working in a fast paced / rapid change environmentRenumeration and Benefits:Basic Salary £25,000 to £30,000 (DOE)Company VanMobile Phone Allowance25 x Days Holiday plus UK Bank Holidays (Total 33 x Days Holiday)Contributory NEST Pension SchemePersonal Learning Plan with Quarterly 1:1 ReviewsCorporate Jacket and ShirtsFamily Friendly FlexibilityCollaborative / Fun / UK Team CultureExcellent Opportunities for ProgressionDell Laptop / Dual Monitors / Docking Station / VOIP HeadsetWorking Pattern:9:00am to 5:30pm Monday to Friday with flexibility for travelCan be based from your South West home or our Taunton office.Travel:Travel: 50% +Travel Region: Southwest (Devon / Cornwall / Somerset / Bristol / Gloucester / Dorset)Frequent visits to our Taunton officeInterview Process:Step 1: Microsoft Teams Interview (30 x Minutes)Step 2: Online personality and behaviour profile (45 x Minutes)Step 3: In-Person Interview at our Taunton office (60 x Minutes)Induction:If successful you will be expected to spend your first full week / induction based from our Taunton office.About Workplace IT:The Healthcare market is rapidly embracing digital transformation enabling improved visibility of care, the integration of healthcare records as well as providing a platform for innovation to help improve care using technologies such as AI.We have ambitious plans for growth and already partner with a number of the UKs top 20 Healthcare providers with no sign of a slowdown in demand for external IT Services across this sector.Our typical clients range from circa 30 to over 3000 people and we support them either as their outsourced IT department or by augment their in-house IT Team.We have a growing UK based team working from home and client sites supported by our head office in Taunton (Somerset).
