Hydraulic Service / workshop EngineerField 50% and 50% Site based, occasional night out ( all expenses paid)up to £32K PA ( Hydraulic) based on a flat 41.5-hour weekMon to Thursday 8-5, Friday finish at 4pm27 days paid holidays PA + bank holsCompany contributor pension scheme of 3%NHS top up with WPAOvertime/subsistence for out of normal working hours and staying away from homeMUST Have a driving LicenceMAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:Work within the guidelines of the Company Quality Management SystemCarry out engineering work at clients depots, on-site, and at customers premises, as requested by the Senior Engineer, Workshop Manager or Director of the company.Ensure that all work is completed to specification, in accordance with the Companys procedures and quality standardsEnsure that workmanship is of the highest standard at all times, and satisfies the Companys and customers requirementsEnsure that all units assembled are properly tested in accordance with manufacturers recommendations, and approved by a nominated person prior to despatchEnsure that all installations are completed in accordance with manufacturers recommendationsMake every effort to ensure work is completed on-time and within budget, identifying additional work not included in the original estimate and reporting information to Workshop Manager.Ensure that a full and accurate record of time spent on each activity is recorded on timesheets each weekWork with the Workshop Manager to identify personal training needs, and undertake appropriate training programmes within work schedulesEnsure that all Health & Safety requirements are met & that the relevant Risk Assessments are completed and actionedEnsure the workshop and all working areas are kept clean & tidy at all timesOTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:Act in a professional and responsible manner at all times when representing the CompanyTake advantage of any further product or personal development opportunities offered by the companyEnsure timely completion of stock requisitions for all components removed from stockTo be available when required for off-site commissioning, service & repair workTo be prepared to work out of normal working hours when requiredEnsure the safe-keeping, regular maintenance, and professional appearance of Company vehicles, tools and equipmentAdhere to Company Health & Safety policyJOB REQUIREMENTS:Thorough understanding of general engineering and hydraulic systemsBFPA level 1 & 2 certificate in mobile / industrial hydraulicsA basic understanding of electrics/electronics would be of benefit, but not essentialUnderstanding of Health and Safety requirementsBFPA Foundation Safety CourseBFPA Hose Assembly Skills CourseCOMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS:Good communication skillsEnergetic and self motivatedTeam playerTo expect and demonstrate high standards of workmanshipGood planning & time-management skills
