Finance Business Partner - Taunton - Up to: £40,000Trial Balance Consulting have been reengaged by a long standing client, a large services business made up of multiple company entities. They seek to recruit a Finance Business Partner to join their friendly and highly experienced accounting team; a broadrole that blends commercial finance responsibilities and management reporting. This is a full time, permanent position which is offered on a flexible office based (Taunton)/hybrid/ working arrangement.Key responsibilities to include:- Reporting to the Finance Director and working within a sizable finance team, the FBP will assume a lead role in supporting the financial efficiency of one or more areas of the organisation- Provide senior finance team with key financial intelligence to assist in ongoing projects, financial analysis, and budget reporting- Lead and influence non-financial decision makers by highlighting financial considerations- Production of detailed management accounts- Work closely with external auditors to ensure an efficient statutory audit and compliance with relevant regulations- Commentating on monthly financial reporting pack data to financial and non-financial department leaders- Provide assistance and support for quarterly reviews and annual budgets- Balance sheet reporting and control- Implement suitable controls and processes- Actual vs budget variance analysis- Identify areas for improving financial performance of specific divisions of the businessThis role calls for an experienced candidate, either operating in a business partnering or management accounting capacity, or as a senior Assistant Accountant looking to take a step up. Previous experience gained in a fast paced services environment wouldbe ideal, but not essential. Candidates may be either part/professionally qualified (ACA/CIMA/ACCA) or QBE with strong all round vocational experience. The company is technology focussed and largely paperless so excellent all round IT aptitude will be essential.This is a role that regularly liaises with colleagues in all departments and across the southwest so excellent team-working and communication skills a must.
