A South West based highly respected architectural metal-work and bespoke steel fabrication specialist are looking to appoint a new Estimator in Taunton.Working across the region they provide high quality products and services to main contractors, developers, and private clients.The role:EstimatorA unique and exciting opportunity has arisen to join the sales and estimating team. You will have experience as an estimator having worked in the metalwork or associated construction industry trade for a minimum of 3 years.Role description:Reporting to the Sales & Estimating Director you will be working in a busy estimating and sales office producing accurate quotations and negotiating tenders with our clients. You will also be working closely with the contracts and design department at bothpre-submission and post Order stage.Responsibilities include:Estimating architectural metalwork, secondary steelwork & structural steelReading architects and engineers drawingsMaterial takes offs and tender summariesObtaining supplier quotations and negotiatingPreparing quotations to meet deadlinesDrafting detailed quotationsLiaising with clients to discuss the tender submissionsSales follow ups of QuotationsAttending client meetings and occasional site visitsWorking with other departmentsThe Person:It is likely you will have previously worked as an Estimator in a similar architectural metal-work and bespoke steel fabrication environment.The right candidate will have the following;Understanding of metalwork or associated tradeBackground in construction industry or manufacturingGood IT skillsExcellent communicatorAbly to work well in a team and with good people skillsAbly to work on own initiative and self-motivatedGood planning and organisational skillsPositive attitude to work with attention to detailFlexible approach and able to prioritise tasksYou may also have experience as a QS or sales negotiatingIf you feel that you have the correct skills for this role then please forward CVs to Adam Shaw on Email on the link provided--- Fusion People are committed to promoting equal opportunities to people regardless of age, gender, religion, belief, race, sexuality or disability.
