Job Description

Civil Engineer - Required for our client to work out of their office based in Taunton, Somerset. Our client is a design and build company working with surface water/sewage treatment systems and due to an increase in demand for consultingengineering services they are looking for drainage engineers.The successful Engineer will support the development and designs for a range of surface and sewage management schemes. The ideal engineer will have 3 years minimum experience in the workplace and will have an opportunity to work as the design lead on smallerscale projects.The position will focus mainly on SuDS, flood risk assessment and wastewater treatment or pumping stations.Civil Engineer Position Remuneration

  • Salary £40k - £60k DOE

Civil Engineer Position Overview
  • Preparation of drainage strategies and feasibility studies
  • Preparation of detailed drainage designs for tender/construction
  • Preparation of drainage layouts and section drawings
  • Preparation of flood risk assessments
  • Focus mainly on SuDS, flood risk assessment and wastewater treatment or pumping stations.
  • Supporting senior engineers in the delivery of large-scale projects.
  • Supporting our construction teams during construction and commissioning (setting out, construction details, clash analysis etc.).
Civil Engineer Position Requirements
  • Experience in hydraulic modelling (eg MicroDrainge)
  • Understanding of CDM Regulations.
  • Degree or academic qualification in a relevant subject (BEng, MEng, HNC, HND)
  • Proficient draughting 2D CAD draughting capability
  • Knowledge of technical standards including Sewers for Adoption/DCG, British Standards, Building Regulations, Environmental Permitting Regulations
  • Must be able to produce drawings.
  • Must have drivers licence
  • 3 years minimum experience in a similar role
  • Chartered or working towards Chartership
