Project Manager - Maidenhead - £65,000 to £80,000 - working from home one or two days per week - Excellent pension and BonusMelbreck are working with a world leading Aerospace and Defence Specialist based near Maidenhead in Berkshire.They had a fantastic 2023 financial year and 2024 looks like it is going to be another year for growth. They have multiple programmes of work and particular business unit is looking to strengthen its project delivery capability and as such, they are lookingto hire a Project Manager ASAP.Project Manager - Role Overview:You will lead the project through every stage of the project life cycle, from planning to delivery.If you thrive in a dynamic, fast paced technical environment and have the ability to maintain focus under pressure, you are exactly what we are looking for.Project Manager - Role Responsibilities:Ensure all project deliverables, deadlines and client expectations are met in line with contractual obligations.Manage the design, development, de-risking, integration, qualification, certification and manufacture of a complex systems.Project manage the development, de-risking, integration, qualification and manufacture. of a data link terminal for trials use on naval vessels.Manage one major and a number of smaller subcontractor development contracts, working in conjunction with engineering and supply chain leads.Be responsible for the project budget, financial forecasts and reporting, working in conjunction with finance, engineering and supply-chain.You will lead project planning sessions to set clear project goals and objectives, determine timelines, define tasks and review resources necessary to successfully complete the project in conjunction with project planning and engineering.Monitor the progress of projects, including addressing issues that may arise and ensuring project deliverables are completed to specification, time and to budget.Project Manager - Candidate Requirements:Relevant degree within a technical, business or Project Management field.Aerospace or Defence experience would be a distinct advantage.The ability to gain security clearance is a pre-requisite to be successful in your application.At least 3-5 years’ experience delivering projects within a technical environment.Strong commercial and contractual awareness.Must be willing to travel on occasion.Expertise within PM software such as Primavera or Microsoft Project.Advanced negotiation and conflict resolution skills.Strong management, leadership and interpersonal skills.This roles comes with the ability to work flexibly as you will be able to work from home for at least one day per week.You will also have an excellent opportunity to build a career and be a major part of the succession plan for the senior management team.If you are looking for a first class opportunity then click apply now!
