631669Health, Safety & Environmental OfficerBarnsley, S75Full Time/Permanent£ Competitive SalaryAustin Banks are currently recruiting for our prestigious client based in Barnsley; who are looking for a Health, Safety and Environmental Officer to join their successful team.The role will be responsible for ensuring that all Health, Safety and Environmental policies, procedures and working practices are followed and are regularly reviewed, updated and communicated under the direction of the Group Health, Safety & Environmental Manager and Senior Health, Safety & Environmental Officer.Accountabilities and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate site Health & Safety & Environmental activities under guidance of the Group HSE Manager
  • Undertake risk assessments where required and advise on corrective actions
  • Works in conjunction other members of the team to drive forward a strong health and safety culture
  • Drive a positive change / champion best practices at all levels
  • Offer advice and guidance when required or requested
  • Complete accident investigation processes
  • Carry out routine site Health & Safety & Environmental audits
  • Promote environmental best practices throughout the group
  • About you
  • 2 years’ experience in a Health and Safety role, preferably in a manufacturing or retail sector
  • NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent
  • Environmental Management Certificate (not essential but desirable)
