Job Description

Night Time Warehouse Manager - Tamworth £38k - 40k Oakley Recruitment is working in partnership with a dynamic business who are looking for a Warehouse Manager on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established team.SummaryYou will be managing a team of up to 40 warehouse operatives to achieve daily operational needs.Duties & Responsibilities

  • Motivating and managing the Warehouse team
  • Organising and planning the workload for the warehouse team, working to strict deadlines and prioritising specific duties depending on business demand.
  • Liaising with other departments
  • Being involved in the discussion and decision-making around new ideas and processes and roles and responsibilities of team members
  • Picking and checking orders, packing orders using the most suitable boxes and packaging, considering the cost implications
  • Processing parcels/orders using the relevant courier’s software
  • Safely operating a forklift truck to unload containers and move stock
  • Responsible for addressing customer miss-picks and shortage discrepancies
  • Being a key holder for the business, with responsibility for ensuring the site is locked and secure when required
  • Dealing with absences within the team, including being the first port of call for the team when they need to call in sick, holding return-to-work conversations, and ensuring all associated documentation is completed
  • Carrying out and recording forklift truck checks
Skills and experience
  • FLT licence holder - Essential
  • Computer literate with an understanding of IT
  • Good working knowledge of health and safety in the workplace
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Leadership skills, with the ability to organise and delegate work and motivate the team
  • Good knowledge of Re-Work (Acel, Whitbread, Engraving)
  • Good knowledge of Export and its functionalities
  • Good knowledge of Power and Light orders and how these are processed
