Our client is seeking to appoint a Technical Specification Manager (TSM) to help drive revenue and secure new business, throughspecification within their expanding Specification & Commercial Team in the Midlands territories. Our Client Partner over-delivers on value to their customers and with a prestigious history behind their successful brand, this role provides a fantastic platformto the successful candidate to develop their career with a leader in their sector.Salary: - circa £50,000 basic + very attractive bonus, Company Car, mobile phone, laptop Location: - Home based - Covering Midlands Region (Birmingham, Coventry, Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Northamptonshire) Company: - Provide an extensive range of Roofing & Waterproofing Solutions to meet the needs of any customer requirement. Our client has a strong brand, built on their global history and success within the Roofing Sector.Overview: - The emphasis is on building strong relationships, generate reciprocal business and expand your client pipeline, with core emphasis on increasing turnover to the region. The region has potential to develop significantly, through existing relationshipdevelopment and new business sales. Job Purpose: - To generate specification and sales opportunities through existing and new client base within your given geographical area or area of responsibility. To achieve and hopefully, exceed your annual sales targets set by the Company. Experience & Skills Required: -The successful candidate will demonstrate the following: Person:Relevant experience in a specification sales construction related environment is essential* Experience of maintaining and developing Architect, Specifier and Contractor customer relationships* Ideally experienced in the flat roofing industry with the knowledge of a variety of systems* Experience of developing detailed written specifications and reports* Working to tight deadlines* Experience of delivering CPD presentations* Experience of working to and achieving targets* Experience of and willingness to conduct lone working* Experience of cold calling* Experience of developing and acting on a plan to generate new businessThe successful candidate must possess strong influencing and negotiating abilities not only through specifiers and architects but via main contractors, distribution channels and approved roofing contractors.
