Job Description

Oakley Recruitment is working in partnership with a well-established, dynamic organisation based in Tamworth. This is an excellent opportunity to join an established business as Purchasing and Supply Chain Planner on a full-time permanent basis. Summary You will be working in the Purchasing and Supply Chain team to monitor, order and chase stock timely to fulfil business demands.Duties & Responsibilities

  • Monitoring stock levels and placing purchase orders with Suppliers
  • Proactively communicating with suppliers to create and maintain relationships
  • Expediting/postponing orders to meet business requirements
  • Troubleshooting stock supply issues
  • Booking product inspections
  • Communicating with Customer Services and Sales teams for stock availability
  • Validating supplier invoices
  • Compiling reports for suppliers and management
Skills and experience
  • High attention to detail with a high level of accuracy, good numeracy skills
  • Enthusiasm and results focus, with an ability to work well under pressure and to prioritise workload to meet tight deadlines
  • Initiative in problem-solving
  • Proven ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative
  • Flexible & able to follow instructions
  • Good Excel skills
