Job Description

The position of Ocean LCL Gateway Lead is based in Dordon, Tamworth and is responsible for ensuring that the CEVA UKIN executes all shipments effectively and efficiently to meet and exceed customer and Company expectations. You will also be responsible for co-ordinating all Ocean Import/Export LCL shipments to ensure that customer service excellence, efficiency, financial, quality and safety targets are met at all times.Our ideal candidate will have proven, demonstrable experience gained within Ocean LCL along with the key requirements outlined below.

  • Ensure the accurate and timely movement of LCL cargo to- and from specific locations within the applicable ocean freight service standards
  • Handle vendor facing communication and shipment related internal communication between CEVA stakeholders
  • Create master shipments
  • Register and handle discrepancies upon cargo receipt at CFS - as applicable
  • Create Profit and Loss reconciliation data and documents
  • Audit and close master shipments
  • Ensure compliance with general ocean freight KPIs
  • Manage and resolve invoicing disputes with Vendors
  • Act in a manner which increases Customer satisfaction and loyalty, maximizes shipment profitability and decreases operating expenses
  • Demonstrable client relationship building and management ability
  • Excellent Customer Service Skills
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Self motivated and driven
  • Ensure overall operational capabilities of LCL gateway are of a high standard
  • Organise the implementation of new processes and policies for the LCL product
