Job Description

Position Overview:The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out small insurance related repairs across the East and West Midlands. The candidate will predominantly be working on their own, but will occasionally be working with other multi-trades to carry out slightly larger repairs.Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out small insurance related repairs to properties across the East and West Midlands on behalf of PCS including but not limited to:
    • o Plumbingo Carpentryo Plasteringo Bricklaying / Brickwork
  • Repairing insurance related damage, ensuring that repairs rectify damage and is returned back to preloss condition
  • Repairs will range from smaller jobs costing around £50.00 to a larger repair up to £5,000.00
  • 90% of repairs will take place on domestic dwellings, and 10% will be commercial properties
  • Repairing damage from any insurance related peril (Fire, Flood, Subsidence etc)
    • Position Specific Requirements:
  • Highly experienced in Carpentry
  • Highly experienced in Plastering
  • Experienced in Bricklaying/Brickwork
  • Experienced in Plumbing
  • Additional skills such as experience within Electrics would be preferable but not essential
  • H&S Qualifications such as First Aid at Work, Asbestos Awareness, SSSTS and CDM Regulation Awareness would be preferable but not essential, as any required training will be provided.
  • Excellent client facing skills as the candidate will be working within customer’s homes.
  • Basic understanding of IT systems such as the Microsoft Office package is preferable as the majority of our information is shared electronically in order to comply with GDPR.
  • A driving license is essential, as the candidate will be predominantly field based.
