Job Description

South Staffordshire College is looking to employ a dynamic, energetic, and enthusiastic full time Mechanical Engineering Lecturer; this is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to join this successful team and work within a dynamic environment.We are looking for a committed and dedicated person with experience of working in the Engineering Industry to deliver Mechanical Engineering courses to NVQ Level 3 apprentices, Level 1 - 3 full time learners and L3 - 4 BTEC learners at South StaffordshireColleges Tamworth and Cannock campuses.The successful applicant will be required to prepare, deliver and assess various aspects of Mechanical Engineering programmes for apprentices and full-time learners studying on Electrical Maintenance and Technical pathways.The successful candidate will need to hold a relevant teaching qualification, or be working towards one (PTLLS, CTLLS, DTLLS, PGCE, Cert Ed), together with a minimum level 4 qualification in a Mechanical or Engineering subject area.You should have recent experience of the Mechanical Engineering industry, with experience of Hydraulics, Pneumatics and PLC. A knowledge of robotics will be beneficial. If you have an assessor and/or verifier award this would be considered advantageous.-What you can expectfrom us - We care about your wellbeing so have a number of activities all year that provide support.
